DISPOSAL OF HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE AND SOLUTIONS

SOLUTION 1 ACCORDING TO ZERO WASTE PRINCIPLE

  • As a result of the processes carried out in the sorting plant, between 6%-10% of metal and glass
  • is separated and utilized.
  •  As a result of the processes carried out in the sorting plant, construction and ash wastes are separated between 8-10%
  • and after crushing, they are used as sub-fill material in road construction.
  •  Other materials in the sorting plant; plastic, paper, wood etc. organic materials are shredded in
  • shredder machine and RDF is made.

SOLUTİONS 2

  • Organic waste is decomposed to make fertilizer or used in biogas production.

SOLUTİONS 3 PROLİZ

  • In our system, plastic, paper, and organic materials are converted into RDF. Then, they are passed through a secondary shredder to reduce their size down to 10–15 mm. The downsized materials are subjected to a drying process, increasing their dryness level to 90–95%, and are then fed into the pyrolysis system.
  • In pyrolysis, the materials are heated up to 450°C–550°C and kept in the system for 20 minutes. The resulting products are: 40% pyrolytic oil, 30% pyrolytic gas, and 30% biochar.
  • Drying occurs at 120°C–200°C. At 280°C–430°C, oils transition into the gas phase. The gases produced during pyrolysis are converted into oil using a cooling condenser. A portion of the non-condensable gases such as CH4, H2, CO, and CO2 is used as fuel in the pyrolysis system. The remaining gas is utilized as fuel in a gas engine to produce energy.
  • Biochar (Activated Carbon) is used as fertilizer in agriculture.

ANTICIPATED PYROLYSIS SYSTEM CAPACITY and CALCULATIONS

The capacity of the pyrolysis system envisaged by us is 1000 tonnes/day of domestic waste (garbage). All calculations for 1000 tonnes/day are explained in detail below.

1000 Ton/ Gün için ;

  • Moisture content : 50%
  • Separated wastes : 20%
  • Materials with RDF : 30% when calculated and taken into the pyrolysis system;

30% RDF material 1000 x 0,3 = 300 tons/day

300 Tons/Day = 300 / 24 = 12.5 Tons/Hour

12.5 tons/hour = 12.500 kg/hour enters the pyrolysis system

  • 40% Pyrolytic Oil
  • 12.500 x 0,4 = 5.000 Kg/Hour
  •  5000Kg / 0,85 = 5882 L/Hour ------- (1Kg Pyrolytic Oil / 0,85 = 1.176 L Pyrolytic Oil)
  •  270L Prolitic Oil = 1 MW/Hour
  •  5882 / 270 = 21 MW/Hour Energy is Obtained.
  •  One year Working Hours : 8200 h/year
  •  8200 x 21MW = 172.200MW Annual electrical energy production is realized.
  •  Current electrical energy sales price in Turkey 1MW = 82 $
  •  172.200MW x 82 $ = 14.120.400 USD/YIL

It will be calculated according to the amount of pyrolytic gas.

 It will be evaluated according to biochar quality.

 Considering that the return on biochar will cover personnel costs and other expenses,

 Pyrolysis system pays for itself in 5-6 years with the worst case scenario.

NOTE : In pyrolysis, after the first unit is installed and commissioned, the second and third units are commissioned in a shorter
